I just want to thank you for the entertaining way in which you put forth historically accurate and important information. It is much easier to get young people, like my son, to take an interest in our cultural history and heritage when it is presented with impactful images and the wording and phrasing is such that you don't have to have a master's degree to understand what it says. All of the articles are easy to read and comprehend, as well as encourage personal thought. It is important for us to communicate to young people the significance of our history and in order to do that effectively we have to meet them where they are at. Today that means on the internet and with vivid images and content that is alive if we are going to keep their interest. I also appreciate the ease of navigation through the site. I am not extremely adept with computers or the internet, but you are easy to get to and navigating around your site is a breeze.Thank you for all of the above and keep up the good work!

I've recently started a blog on African American History and I have noted your site as a reference on several of my posts. Most recently I sited your Kwanzaa story. It is absolutely the most thorough presentation of KWANZAA that I found ANYWHERE on the internet!!!!! Thank you for providing such a great resource! I know that there are many of us who appreciate it!

I just wanted to say that I thoroughly enjoyed reading the articles, but I am most stricken by the images. They are so vibrant and as for the old black and whites all I can say is they bring alot of memories to mind. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

I have now been following your site for over 6 months. I have enjoyed the mixture of history and modern culture and concerns. Everything is always well written and illustrated. I am retired military and appreciate the fact that you remember us year round, not just on Veterans' Day. I wish you much continued success in the coming year!

Hi! I just wanted to wish you a Blessed New Year and let you know that I really appreciate the effort and hard work that must go into keeping this site so up-to-date and relevant. The images themselves are worth coming for, but I always learn something new when I visit. Thank you for your efforts!

Just wanted to wish yo a Happy New Year and thank you for the wonderful article on Kwanzaa! It had already begun and ended by the time I first read the article, but now that I realize it isn't actually a conflict with my Christian belief and celebration of Christ's birth, I am excited at the "togetherness" time it could give my family next year! Thank you again and have a GLORIOUS NEW YEAR!!!!!!

I have added you to my bookmarks because I admire the way you express your ideas and I like the variety of topics. I also appreciate that there is no celebrity gossip/hype/half-nude photos. Thank you for providing a tasteful publication.

A friend had posted a link to your article on his page on facebook and I just wanted to let you know I appreciate the time you have taken to help me better understand Kwanzaa. I have never seen so much information in one place. I had always thought it was a religious holiday that conflicted with Christmas. I now understand it is a celebration of who we are as a people, not a religious holiday at all. I am going to attend my friend who posted the link's Kwanzaa feast. Thank you again for sharing.

I truly loved your site. I have bookmarked it in Stumbleupon and posted a link to the Kwanzaa article on my Facebook. I have never seen such a great explanation of Kwanzaa in all my years! I always thought I had to choose between it and Christmas and being a Christian that meant that celebrating Kwanzaa was not an option. I now realize that one is exclusive of the other. I had always believed it was a religious conflict, but now I realize it is not a religious celebration at all, but instead a unifying celebration of who we are, where we came from and what we have and can do collectively. I really cannot thank you enough for opening my eyes! May you be blessed in the new year and always!
