I have sat and watched the slideshow 3 times now. It is a history lesson all in its self, and I really love your article on SFC Early. A sad but impactful story. I also like the design of your website, extremely resourceful and unique. You have another fan.

I have book marked the site and I am sending a link for this page to my cousin in Atlanta. I have never seen a site like this. Vibrant and alive with the stories of our people that remind me why I am proud to be African American.

This is my first time to the site. A friend had your magazine on her coffee table and we wound up spending a great deal of time discussing the number of heros and “she”roes that have been over looked in the history books. She does not use the internet or even own a computer, but personally I could not wait to see what you had online after reading her magazine from cover to cover. I even asked her if I could borrow it, but she said she has had more interesting discussions since placing it out for everyone to look at and that she did not want to part with it. So, rambling story short: I came here as soon as I got home and I was right, THIS SITE IS AMAZING! I will definitely keep it on my “to talk about with friends” list. Thank you for your efforts and excellent reporting!

Nice write-ups! I am a giant believer in promoting those things that a person sees as positive for others and the world. This site is definitely one of those cases. I have posted your site on my Digg, Facebook, Twitter and StumbleUpon accounts over the last few days and have already had several people comment on it in my facebook account. We are all in agreement that this publication is a great source for inspiration to keep on keeping on in the battle to improve the world we live in. Thumbs UP!!!!!!!

This is my first visit to the site and I feel compelled to comment on the uniqueness of the content on this site: helpful and informative content relating to the real world of today for small business, veterans and the healthcare system combined with fascinating and intrigueing images and stories that truly reflect who and where we came from as a people in a positive and pride instilling manner. Keep up the excellent work!

Great website. This is the third edition I have seen on the site and I felt it was time to speak up. Love the positive content, but even without the written content some of the images on this site could stand by themselves. I am a bit of a history buff and regularly read historical publications and media and I am amazed at what I have learned on this site that I never knew. How is it that a group like the 6888 that you have pictured above could have been ignored to the point that someone who has loved and studied history for over 40 years never knew they existed? Please keep the fascinating stories coming!

I have read through your site and just wanted to let you know that I am pleasantly surprised at the variety of topics that are covered here, without resorting to the hype and celebrity foolishness that so many publications resort to. The articles here are thought provoking. Even the articles about what are basically negative things that have occurred in our nation are presented in a way that make you thankful for our progress and inspire the reader to further the work of those that have come before, rather than instill hate or anger.  They are more of a call to come out of our complacency and get informed and involvolved. A much needed and great publication!

I first saw the slideshow and was impressed then after reading through some of these articles I just wanted to say that the breadth of topics combined with the representation of our history in a positive light make this production one of a kind and a treasure. Thank you for your time and efforts.

I am always on the look out for sites that are relevant to who we are and our culture today and actually there are quite a few out there, but I have never seen one that was relevant to us today and at the sime time shows our connection to where we came from. We are a people that have over came much and rarely is it recognized by todays generation. If more of our younger generation really understood the adversity that those that came before faced in order to give them the rights and privileges that they take for granted today maybe they would spend more time building for the future generations and less time killing each other off either directly with their guns or indirectly with the poison they pass off as a way to “have a good time”. I plan to tell everyone that will listen about this site. Thank you!!!!!!!!!

Very good website you have here, but I was wanting to know if you will be creating a forum for people like me who would really like to talk to others about some of these topics and have intelligent conversations about how to honor our ancestors by continuing their life long efforts to educate & liberate our people. I’d really like to be a part of a community where I can converse with other like-minded individuals that share the same interest in continuing to bring our people upward and onward into better lives and environments. Kudos to you for your efforts!

In general I am a skeptic when it comes to information and articles I read online because sometimes it is even more unreliable than what you hear on tv, but every once in a while you find something valuable online. This is one of those rare cases and I just wanted to let you know you have a new fan.

  • Chase K says:

In my humble opinion if more websites followed your lead the internet would be a better place. I have been following you for almost 6 months now and not only has each new article been interesting, they have also made me contemplate and actually think. GREAT SITE PLEASE DON”T CHANGE!

  • Clarence Starken says:

Resources for stories are numerous, however a good story will only be effective if the storyteller’s heart is in it. I have yet to find an article here that feels superficial or forced. A rare thing on the internet today.

  • believe-n-achieve says:

People tend to always look at things from their own personal angle and many times the intention is to encourage hatred, anger and division. This site is a perfect example of the fact that it is possible to confer accurate information about unfortunate, shameful and unjust events and situations in a way that accentuates the strength of those that not only survived the event, but went on to achieve greatness. This site promotes healing and encouragement to persevere and achieve regardless of your circumstances. Definitely a site that all of our youth could learn from. If more of this type of journalism and writing was presented to our youth they might take pride in who they are and belive they are capable of doing more than standing on a street corner selling drugs and killing each other off. Thank you for your willingness to encourage instead of jumping on the bandwagon of hate.

  • F Ley says:

I think other web site proprietors should take this site as a model, very clean and a very user friendly style and design, let alone the great variety of content. I am linking to you from all of my networking sites.

  • Army Strong says:

I just finished Civil Rights Civil Wrongs and I wanted to let you know that I appreciate your ability to speak the truth without spreading anger. Anger is a disease that is infecting our young people and causing them to kill each other off. We need knowledge and growth not anger and hatred.

  • A Randall says:

Great goods from you, man. I understand exactly where you are coming from and I like what you are saying and how you are saying it. Just too excellent. You make it entertaining and you still take care of to keep it sensible. I can’t wait to read far more from you.

  • L Brissett says:

I certainly like what you’re saying and the way in which you say it. You make it enjoyable but there is a lot of wisdom in your words.
