WHO WE ARE:

Our Heritage Magazine, originally published in print in 1994, still publishes 2 Printed Editions each year, but has expanded to include 6 online editions of the magazine (www.OurHeritageMagazine.com)  each year as well. Our new updated format enables us to more effectively promote cultural awareness by reaching a larger audience (we are currently receiving over 100,000 hits per month).

WHY IT MATTERS:

Promoting cultural awareness of our deep, rich heritage and the issues confronting us in today’s society, as well as the organizations and people that are creating tomorrow’s history today by addressing these issues, breaking down barriers, and making a difference. Awareness of these things is important for continued growth and increased prosperity of African American today and in the future.

OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE:

Advertising Associate:    

·         Duties – Sell advertisement space for both the website and the printed editions to local and national businesses.

·         Requirements – Able to represent Our Heritage Magazine in professional manner and have a well-developed understanding of the general sales process.  Previous media advertisement sales experience not required, but would be beneficial.

·         Compensation – For the right person this is a very lucrative commission based position.  Associate is paid a commission for each sale of advertisement space after payment for the advertisement space is received.

Contributing Author:

·         Category – Health and Fitness

·         Duties – Provide original 350 – 400 word articles written by the contributor for use on www.OurHeritageMagazine.com and/or in printed editions of Our Heritage Magazine.

·         Requirements – Experience working in a field related to health and / or fitness.  Able to present a sample article to be used in the evaluation process.  This article will NOT be published unless you are accepted as a contributing author and your express permission is given.
