I just want to thank you for the entertaining way in which you put forth historically accurate and important information. It is much easier to get young people, like my son, to take an interest in our cultural history and heritage when it is presented with impactful images and the wording and phrasing is such that you don’t have to have a master’s degree to understand what it says. All of the articles are easy to read and comprehend, as well as encourage personal thought. It is important for us to communicate to young people the significance of our history and in order to do that effectively we have to meet them where they are at. Today that means on the internet and with vivid images and content that is alive if we are going to keep their interest. I also appreciate the ease of navigation through the site. I am not extremely adept with computers or the internet, but you are easy to get to and navigating around your site is a breeze.Thank you for all of the above and keep up the good work!

I’ve recently started a blog on African American History and I have noted your site as a reference on several of my posts. Most recently I sited your Kwanzaa story. It is absolutely the most thorough presentation of KWANZAA that I found ANYWHERE on the internet!!!!! Thank you for providing such a great resource! I just wanted to say that I thoroughly enjoyed reading the articles, but I am most stricken by the images. They are so vibrant and as for the old black and whites all I can say is they bring alot of memories to mind. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

I have now been following your site for over 6 months. I have enjoyed the mixture of history and modern culture and concerns. Everything is always well written and illustrated. Just wanted to wish yo a Happy New Year and thank you for the wonderful article on Kwanzaa! It had already begun and ended by the time I first read the article, but now that I realize it isn’t actually a conflict with my Christian belief and celebration of Christ’s birth, I am excited at the “togetherness” time it could give my family next year! I have never heard ‘heritage’ explained quite that way. It is by far the best definition and presentation of what it is and why it is so important that we know it and keep it alive for future generations that I have ever read.
