A friend of mine forwarded a wonderful newsletter that you had sent her. The newsletter it self was interesting. I so love historical facts and trivia like the extinct black township that was in it. After seeing the site I just had to sign up for the newsletter myself and I just wish to thank you for this glorious read!! I positively enjoyed each little bit of it and I have you bookmarked. I try to leave a comment whenever I like a site and I loved this one. It is such a great mix of “then and now”. We and our world are a product of who came before us. The more we know about who they were, what they did and why the better we will understand what we need to do today. Thank you for the amazing images (some of them were a trip down memory lane for me) and the interesting articles.

I tend not to drop many comments, but i did some searching and wound up here at Our Heritage Magazine. I like the cultural feel of the articles. I especially appreciate the travel articles that I have found since I started visiting here. I had never even heard of The Heritage Trail before. Now I have started looking into the possibility of taking my family on a cultural vacation this year. Thank you for the service you provide our culture.

Not every one who comes to a site like this is looking for the exact same thing. Culture and heritage mean different things to differing people. I like that I can find both current cultural concerns and historic cultural information and figures here. Definitely one of the most unique sites I have ever been to.

I just wanted to applaud you for honoring Mr. Evers. I unfortunately did not know about the ship ceremonies until recently and am appalled to find how little documentation on it there is. I fail to understand why it was not more publicly announced and recognized. Thank you for preserving and presenting this information honoring a man who was willing to give his life in order to move our country towards true equality.

As a doctor I felt the need to say that this is truly one of the saddest diseases that I treat, because it is so senseless that it is allowed to claim so many lives when it is treatable. All too often the cases that ultimately lead to a loss of life are due to either a lack of knowledge of the importance of early detection or because of the uncomfortable nature of the topic and the testing. People need to pay attention to what is being said here. Prostate cancer should not rob family members of their fathers and brothers and uncles. WAKE UP AND GET YOUR SCREENING NOW!!!!!!!!!!

I recently came across an edition of your magazine that was from this past summer while waiting for an appointment. I was struck by the images in it when I flipped through the pages, but being a native of San Antonio what really caught my attention was a feature on Charles Williams. Now that I have seen your site I must say I am really impressed. So much media attention is given to the politicians and the hollywood crowd it is refreshing to see stories on real people that are making a difference in people’s lives and their communities. Thank you for providing a quality source of positive stories. We all need to be reminded that no matter where we come from there is always a way to make a difference just like Mr. Williams. May you attain much success!
